Over Memorial Day and the week following, we loaded everyone (minus R-dog) in the van and headed down to hang out in the sand and the sun with some of our best buds the O'Neals and the Thompsons. Leading up the trip, we talked about the vacation a lot, but Nash could never quite get the "V" sound down...so "baycation" it was!
The boys were great on the trip for the most part, and we had a great time. Nash was fearless in the water, loved
building smashing sand castles, and finding/chasing/racing sand crabs! It was such treat to watch him enjoy himself so much....he played to the point of exhaustion every.single.day. Quinn was still a bit too little to be in the sun and didn't appreciate the sand too much - so Matt and I rotated time with him on the porch or inside with him. Nash's first beach trip was also to Dauphin Island back in 2010...so it was fun to relive those memories too!
