Our month of October!

October was a pretty busy month for us, but so fun!

We kicked off the month with a visit to Pennsylvania for my friend Johana's wedding.  It was a crazy travel situation...we flew into Newark on Saturday morning of the wedding (meeting Jackie on our connecting flight in Baltimore) and Matt's parents met us with two cars.  We grabbed a quick lunch and we (me, Matt, Jackie) took one car to Jo's wedding while Nannie and Opa took Nash with them to Pottsville.  We enjoyed the wedding that evening (my water was SO yummy!  haha), and drove back to Pottsville the next day where we were able to visit with all of Matt's extended family.  Nash had such a big time playing with all of his cousins, and we were able to stay until Monday afternoon - when we all piled back in the car and drove to Philly for our flight home!  Whew - we were exhausted, but it was totally worth it.  Here are a few pictures of the wedding and Nash's time in Posttsville:

Thanks for hanging out with me Nannie and Opa!

At the end of the month, of course Nash had to celebrate Halloween.  We had two costumes this year, thanks to grandparents!  :)  So, for his school party...Nash was a snowman.  For evening trick or treating....Nash was a monkey.  He was adorable in both outfits!  We returned to the pumpkin patch as well, and Nash was very excited to pick out his own pumpkins.  We took advantage of the gorgeous day and setting and did an impromptu photo shoot with him as well. Enjoy the pictures!

No, pumpkins are NOT balls....but try explaning that to a 20 month old.  :)

Crazy July!

July was a crazy  month for the Murphy's.....we had visitors in our home 21 days out of the month, and loved every second of it!  We were exhausted by the end, and ready to get back to our normal routine - but our visitors were the best kind - family!  I'll let the pictures do the talking (camera battery was dead during most of Katy and Clint's weekend...booo!)!

First up...Jessi, Tyler, Macy, and Mya...

Rainy Weekend

Grandma and Great Grandma Betty made a trip to Nashville to hang out with Nash for a long weekend - so fun!  We were hoping for a long weekend of sunshine and pool filled fun - but instead we had a very rainy weekend!  Nash stayed home from daycare and got extra attention on Friday, and the rest of the weekend we hung out, drank coffee/tea on the back deck in our pj's, splashed in puddles, and enjoyed a bit of cooler weather.  The sun finally did peek out on Sunday so we were able to get in the pool a bit then - but the best part of the weekend was hanging out wtih Grandma and Grandma Betty - for sure!

Mr. and Mrs. Renner!

Katy and Clint got married in Jamaica on April 8...it was such a fun time, and although we missed our Nashman – we managed to enjoy the time on the beach with family and no babies (and a few frozen drinks)!  Nannie and Opa were so sweet to stay with Nash while we were gone.  We picked up Nannie and Opa from the airport on a Tuesday evening, and we flew out Wednesday morning.

We spent Wednesday through Sunday in Jamaica, and celebrated with Katy and Clint and our families.  Clint’s parents and brother and sister were all able to come, we got to meet Paige and her family for the first time.  They got married on Friday afternoon at 4:00, and it couldn’t have been prettier.    The ceremony was perfect….small and private, barefoot in the sand, on the beach.  I was the “official” photographer – and ended up having to change dresses after the wedding and before the wedding dinner because I was running around like a crazy person trying to get all of the shots I wanted.  Ha – needless to say – I was a little warm!

We arrived back in Nashville to a house full of “snarfy” (Nannie’s word) people.  Nannie, Opa, and Nash all had a cold and weren’t feeling so great.  I think Nash was the best of all of them…his cold seemed to clear up in a few days while Nannie and Opa felt pretty terrible for the rest of that week.  They had a big time while we were gone…walking Roscoe dog, going to the park, visiting the Hermitage, visiting state parks – and I’m sure there were plenty of cuddles and kisses.  We really are so blessed and so lucky they were willing to fly to Nashville to stay with our special little dude – THANK YOU Nannie and Opa!

OK….now for some Jamaica/wedding pics.  These are a few of my favorites…enjoy!  We can't wait to celebrate with more family and friends at their reception in June!
